For each tour, the group members will meet in New York City and depart from John F. Kennedy airport. You will need to book a connecting domestic flight to New York. Your international flight will be on Finnair and depart at 5:55 P.M. from JFK on the departing date of the tour. It will be important that you allow yourself at least 3 hours between the time that you arrive at JFK and the time that your Finnair flight leaves. JFK is notorious for delays even if your flight arrives on time. Your return flight will arrive at JFK at 3:55 P.M. on the return date of the scheduled tour. Again, you will want to allow plenty of time to make your connecting flight. THESE FLIGHT TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE so be sure to check with us to see if there are any variances. You will be met at the appropriate gate by a tour leader who will accompany you to St. Petersburg. This tour leader will normally page all members of the tour from the gate desk well before departure and this will be your first opportunity to meet your fellow tour members.

Tours Departing 8 Times Per Year!

The first leg of your flight will take you to Helsinki, Finland where you will have about a three hour layover. This provides an excellent time to get to know your fellow tour members and your tour leader will be available to answer all of the many questions that you may have prior to your arrival in St. Petersburg. Your tour leader will also assist you with items such as customs declarations and procedures and anything else you will need to know immediately upon your arrival in Russia.

From Helsinki your initial travel is all but done as the flight to St. Petersburg is just a 40 minute jump where additional staff will meet the group at the airport and escort you to the hotel.
